What do summer camps have to offer? It’s simple. A camp is more than a week spent living with children of similar ages, doing outdoor activities and sports. Summer camps offer children countless benefits. SoloCampamentos has come up with 6 reasons not to let your children miss the opportunity to have a unique experience at a summer camp.
1.
The personal development of the child. Going to camp will help your child to develop and mature as an individual. Your child will be in a healthy environment and will demonstrate skills that they wouldn’t normally find out about with their parents by their side.
2. To experience. We all know that when summer comes, what all children are eagerly awaiting is summer camps. We all remember those summers when we met children from all over Spain and came home with tonnes of stories to tell our friends and parents.
3. To learn new activities and sports. The children take part in many activities at summer camps and it may be that your children have never previously done any of them. This can lead to them discovering new passions or hobbies.
4. To make great friends. At camp, since the children are together 7 or 15 days, depending on the camp they go to, your children will forge some great friendships. As well as this, venturing out of their normal environment will expose them to different personalities, which will help them in the future.
5. Adapting to their environment. The mere fact that your child is going to camp will help them in adapting to different environments, with children and adults who they have not interacted with before. At some point in the future, your children will have to face dealing with people they don’t know at all, and adapting to situations they are not used to. The sooner they start to face these kinds of situations head on, the better they will be at dealing with them when they arise.
6. Putting into practise the values that you convey to them at home. How many times have you told your children that they need to learn to share? That they have to respect other peoples’ opinions? Most of the time, they ignore us because they are at home, because often it is about their relationship with their siblings ... there are thousand reasons that only their little minds can imagine. But camp is the place to put these good values into practice. It often takes meeting strangers to bring the best out of kids. How many times have you been told wonderful things about your children by their school, which you then see no evidence of at home? This is an environment to bring out the best in people.
For this and for many other reasons, a camp is a great choice for this summer. Click here for our summer camp offer.
