Info

The Spanish International Summer Camp at Chester College offers a full immersion experience in Santiago de Compostela, combining Spanish language learning with cultural activities, outdoor experiences and an international environment.

Designed for international students, the programme brings together structured Spanish lessons and a wide range of creative, cultural and sporting activities, allowing participants to develop confidence and fluency in a natural and engaging way.

With more than 40 years of experience, Chester College has developed a well-established programme focused on communication, participation and personal development, within a supportive and carefully organised setting.

Spanish lessons take place in small groups, with an average ratio of one teacher for every eight students. Teaching is delivered by qualified native teachers, and students are grouped according to their age and level to ensure an effective and dynamic learning experience.

Alongside the academic programme, participants take part in a wide variety of activities, including music, theatre, arts and outdoor sports (soccer, baskeball, volleyball, water-polo, canoeing, introduction to surfing...). During sports and recreational activities, international students share the experience with Spanish participants, encouraging natural interaction and the practical use of the language in a social context.

The programme also includes cultural visits and excursions across Galicia, giving participants the opportunity to discover Santiago de Compostela, a UNESCO World Heritage city, as well as the region’s coastline, beaches and natural landscapes.

The camp is available in both residential and day formats, allowing flexibility for international and local participants. Residential students stay in supervised accommodation with full board, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment throughout their stay.

Chester College brings together students from different countries in an international yet close-knit environment, where participants feel supported and encouraged to take part, communicate and enjoy the experience.

Activities

The programme includes a wide range of sports, creative and cultural activities, both on campus and in different locations across Galicia.

The programme is complemented by cultural visits and excursions, allowing participants to discover Santiago de Compostela, a UNESCO World Heritage city, as well as other areas of Galicia.
