Info

Adventure Camp Canfranc is located in the Aragon Valley, in the Aragonese Pyrenees. This is a place with so much magic and legends to discover during your stay.

The camp is focused on mountain and adventure through fun and experience. We will find out about the mountains around us, venturing inside their ravines, making camping trips and sleeping in places as magical as the mountain lakes of Anayet. We will find this exhilarating, doing ferratas and enjoying exciting descents and mountain-biking. Taking the same route as the Canfranero railway, we will go rafting down the Gallego.

All adventure activities we carry out are arranged by the best companies with vast experience in this field. We will learn more about our environment by enjoying Jaca, where we have a chance to skate on the ice rink, and of course we will enjoy Canfranc, the international station of Canfranc and its stories and legends.

We will play games, have unforgettable evenings and discover our environment and all that the Huesca Pyrenees has to offer. All this with our base camp at the CanfrancYouth Hostel, an entire hostel for our camp, where we can do a lot of activities and we'll also eat food and enjoy the hostel’s atmosphere.

Activities

Despite being a camp focused on the activities of Adventure, that's not all. Throughout the camp, our instructors will at all times be with participants when they do activities. Games, themed days, evening and night games … making the camp a place of living, learning and fun.

During the camp we also discover our environment by performing activities and getting to know the Canfranc International Station, and a city like Jaca, where we will have the chance to enjoy its ice rink.

We will travel on the Canfranero train that runs between Canfranc and Huesca and will take you through a narrow valley, reaching the banks of the Gallego, where we will descend Rafting Mallos Riglos.

ADVENTURE ACTIVITIES

  • Rafting
  • We will cliff-dive down Barrancos.
  • Activity MTB (Mountain Biking).
  • A trip and a journey of two days and one night, through the mountain lakes of Anayet.Adventure park.
  • Map workshops and orienteering.

All these activities will have instructions on the development of the activity. No participant needs previous experience in this type of activity to go to this camp. No activity is compulsory by participants. Despite this, our monitors ensure the carrying out of all activities by all participants and assess the reasons of the participants for not doing them. No less important are all those non-adventure activities.

We have prepared fun games and scavenger hunts and unforgettable evenings... far from just complementing the Adventure activities, these activities are what really let us achieve the objectives and the values that we aspire to for our programme and our camps. It is these goals and values that will enable personal progress both individually and as a group and allow them to acquire new skills and knowledge.

Facilities

Canfranc Youth Hostel will be our home for the 10 days of camp. Located in the heart of the town of Canfranc in the magical valley of Aragon, it is a comfortable and cosy accommodation.

The hostel was renovated in 2003, and we will have the whole camp to ourselves, to make Adventure in Canfranc a unique and unforgettable camp. The hostel has three floors, the first in which is a kitchen and activity room, with two floors of bedrooms with bathrooms in each. The rooms are divided by gender and age. The rooms are divided by sex and age.

Canfranc Adventure is in the Aragon Valley, in the Pyrenees of Huesca. This is historically an access valley to France through the Summus Portus (Somport), giving it some features not found in other Pyrenean valleys. Through it we can discover the way of Santiago, cities like Jaca, Roman bridges and historic buildings throughout the entire valley.

We will enjoy all the benefits and tranquillity that a place like Canfranc station offers, where there is a pool, lawns and meadows for games and resources for adventure activities. Besides this, the Canfranc International Station is a historic building with many legends and history of shooting movies.

In the Canfranc vicinity are magical places to discover like Canal Roya, Izas Valley, the mountain lakes of Anayet, peak Espata, Aguaré ravine ... all places that we can discover in Canfranc adventure.
